OKTOBERFEST

The first Bubwith Oktoberfest 2007, sponsored by The Jug & Bottle went extremely well. Over 300 tickets sold in July for this capacity event. 285 turned up on the night and sampled 16 beers and 6 ciders and Perry's.

The Rugby semi finals were screened in the Centre bar whilst others enjoyed the music from Half Cut, a local Irish group.

The evening has hoped to have raised in the region of £3,000 for Bubwith Tennis Club & The Friends of Bubwith School.

Bubwith Oktoberfest 2008 takes place on Saturday 11th October. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday 7th June from 10am at The Jug & Bottle, Main Street, Bubwith. Ticket prices have not been set yet for 2008, but it hoped that all 300 tickets will be sold that morning, on a strictly first come first served basis.
