Beautifully crafted and scrumptious cakes are available all in the week at The Jug and Bottle (if they haven’t run out)! There are many different varieties but a firm favourite is the delicious, chewy chocolate brownies.
A range of cheese is available all year round in our deli. We have predominately switched to pre-packaged portions that are packaged for us as well as many truckles for various dairies.
These are some unusual ones such as Y Fenni with beer & mustard seed, Harlech – a creamy cheese with horseradish & parsley. There is usually a good range of blue cheese such as Skegness blue, Garstang, Yorkshire Blue and Shropshire Blue and occasionally the Irish Cashel Blue.
The Snowdonia range has been a very popular introduction including Black Bomber, Red Devil Green Thunder and Pickle Power. Our latest introduction of goats cheese is Irish Goats cheese balls marinated in garlic and herb oil, they are just to die for, spread on oatcakes.
Since LockDown, the chillers and Deli counters have a new look. We have a wide variety of meats, olives, peppers, dips, houmous and pates, all pre-packaged. And do not fear, the famous Jug & Bottle “Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce” is available.
We offer a great range of fresh, handmade sandwiches. We offer a range of pre-made sandwiches which you are welcome to choose from.
You’ll also find in our deli counter pies, pasties, sausage rolls from a local butcher. As well as amazing scotch eggs. More new editions coming in Spring 2022

All rolls are buttered contain milk.
We stock a wide range of pickles, relishes, oils, chutneys, marmalades, jams and curds.… the list is endless. The presentation of all the jars is high quality and some are pre-packed into gift sets. You can also pick your own selection and have it made up into a hamper… click here for more details.
There are also many items such as savoury biscuits for cheese, sweet biscuits, cakes, tray bakes, old fashioned sweets, Turkish delight, popcorn…. which is under our own label for The Jug and Bottle ~ we have approx.. 40 lines own labelled.
Chocolates ~ at Christmas you may be mistaken thinking that you’ve walked into a Chocolate Shop. There are so many different gift boxes, fun and quirky chocolates for all ages. Chocolates start from 50p upwards.
There is a wide selection of different nibbles from garlic & parsley breadsticks, spicy broad beans to Burts Potato Chips from Devon. Quirkily each of Burts’ bags is stamped with the name of the person who fried them and which field the potato was grown in. In smaller bags we stock Real crisps ~ their flavours really pack a punch. Staff favourite has to Salt & Vinegar. We have a good range of nuts in and very tasty Bombay Mix.
We also have our own Popcorn which many have said is better than the leading market brand!
