We’re delighted to announce that The Jug & Bottle has done it again – winning a Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Award!
We’re in proud possession of the ‘Small Business of the Year 2015’ award! The glass trophy and certificate were officially awarded to owner Louise Smith by Harry Gration at a beautiful awards ceremony at The Goole Academy last Friday evening, 20th February 2015.
Now in its fifth year, these awards recognise and celebrate business excellence in Goole and the surrounding area.
Gary Haase, Chair of the awards committee stated; “This year, once again the stakes have risen higher; we have been hugely impressed by the range and quality of the applications and the demonstrated business acumen of so many of our local organisations. The Awards present a perfect opportunity to demonstrate that Goole and Howdenshire is a place to do business. “
The Jug & Bottle were one of over 80 companies to enter this year’s awards.
Louise commented; “I was very excited when I found out that we’d been selected as a finalist for the ‘Small Business of the Year’ category! And now I can’t stop smiling – I’m over the moon that we won!”
Louise went on to say; “This is a real vote of confidence for a village shop like ours. We’re a small team and each and every one of my staff work so hard for this small business – which is more than your average local shop. We’ve been called ‘The Oracle’ in the past due to all our staff’s superb local knowledge and I do ensure that the importance of high quality customer service is an integral part of the training programme. All my staff pride themselves on delivering a consistent level of friendly and polite service to all our customers and this often extends beyond the products on offer in the shop. I hope they can see that their dedicated efforts have paid off!”
