Fab Cocchi Aperitifs To Enjoy

A fantastic addition to your summer bar. Great neat over ice, or for the long drink add prosecco or elderflower tonic, plenty of ice and fruit; orange, basil leaves.

Since 1978, Giulio Cocchi is owned and operated by the Bava Family, themselves highly renowned wine producers in Monferrato and Langhe. Today the winery still maintains its artisan character and follows the original recipes, formulated by Giulio Cocchi in 1891, to craft the distinctive wines that have made the Cocchi a cult name.

The Americano Cocchi produced according to the original recipe of Giulio Cocchi is, for Asti, the aperitif par excellence, a piece of the city’s history.

During its history, Cocchi has produced some variations of his American Aperitif. The most recent, the Cocchi Rosa is produced from a base of Piedmont red wines to which are added extracts of herbs and spices, in particular gentian, china, citrus peel and rose petals.

HOW TO DRINK

The classic version includes a glass with ice cubes, a splash of soda and a pink grapefruit rind. The soda can be replaced with ginger beer, lemon soda, tonic water.
The Cocchi Rosa is a perfect ingredient for the new strong trend of “low octane” cocktails, with low alcohol content.
