Fingers Crossed for more awards!
I’m delighted to be able to announce that we have been selected as a finalist in two categories at the 5th Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards.
This comes less than 3 months after hearing that we are on the shortlist for the national ‘Independent Cider Retailer of the Year’ award – for the third time in six years!! So we now have two black tie evenings to look forward to, with one being at the very grand Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane in London!
This is a real vote of confidence for a village shop like ours I’m really excited that we’ve been selected as a finalist for the ‘Service Sector’ category! We’ve been called ‘The Oracle’ in the past due to all our staff’s superb local knowledge and I do ensure that the importance of high quality customer service is an integral part of the training programme and all my staff pride themselves on delivering a consistent level of friendly and polite service to all our customers.
The Jug and Bottle staff are always ready to help to match food and drink for customer meals and make suggestions about complementary items that can be found in the shop, but their customer service often extends beyond the products on offer in the shop.
Winners of the Independent Cider Retailer of the Year will be announced on Tuesday 3rd February and winners of the Goole & Howdenshire Business Excellence awards will be announced on Friday 20th February 2015 – so keep your fingers crossed for us!
